During a filming for ARTE, Lumetis is showcasing its innovations in scientific analysis and the traceability of artworks

In mid-May, Lumetis teams visited an art gallery in Madrid to take part in a filming about innovative methods of art authentication, for the ARTE channel.

A fresh look at one of Spanish artist Murillo’s masterpieces that will complement our current understanding of the painting.

Using ultraviolet fluorescence, reflectance, and infrared imaging, Lumetis teams captured unprecedented high-resolution images of a 17th-century Murillo masterpiece. These unprecedented, highly precise images provide high-quality scientific data to complete our current understanding of this painting.

High-quality scientific images, without moving the artworks

Thanks to a unique technology, scientific images were acquired directly in front of the artwork under ambient lighting. This groundbreaking approach opens up new possibilities in scientific analysis, quality assessment, authenticity, and traceability of artworks.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Nicolas Cortes, Adolfo Ferrin, Yadira Castellanos, Frédéric Biamonti, and the entire team at Compagnie des Taxi-brousse for providing us with the opportunity to showcase our innovative imaging technologies for art.

Nous ne manquerons pas de vous communiquer la date de diffusion du documentaire dès que nous la connaîtrons !
